I had a few errands to run in Spartanburg today, and one of them was going to Wal-Mart. Typically this isn't a problem for me, I can actually get in and out rather quickly. Tonight was no different...they didn't have one thing I needed, but no problem with the rest. I went up to the check out, and waited patiently. Finally it was my turn, I scanned my items and proceeded to pay. That's when it happened...someone got in line behind me, and he was less than 6 inches away.
WHY??!!
What is wrong with people? Was he worried that someone was going to get in front of him if he didn't stand on top of me? Was he worried that I was going to take too long? Was he trying to be nosey? I mean there are a number of questions I could ask as to his reasoning for crowding me at the check out. I guess I will never know the answer! Have any of you noticed this? Mama and I have talked about it on numerous occassions, and I just don't get it.
I really wanted to turn around, look at him and say "could you please BACK UP!!!" I didn't because you just never know with people, but it really does bother me. I don't understand why people can't stand back and wait their turn to use the check out.
Ok, I'm done now!

You already know how I feel about this....one of these days it's going to hit at the right (or wrong - whichever way you look at it) time and I'm going to have to say something like...."can you please back up, you're in my space". But I will try to be super nice when I say it!! :)
