I received an email today that made me think of a conversation Lindsey and I had when I was last in Columbia. We were talking about Alexa and her teeth (or lack of...LOL) and I said she didn't get her first tooth until 11 months. Lindsey proceeded to tell me that it drives her crazy and she doesn't understand why parents feel it's necessary to refer to everything in months. She said why don't you just say a year or almost a year. I said...ok so when Alexa was 3 months I should've said she was nothing, or almost a year?? LOL!
She said she could understand it up to a year, but after that she just didn't get it. I told her I think it's partially because that's how doctors refer to it, and also due to clothing sizes. Take for instance 24 months, and 2T. Before I had a child I often wondered...why do we have two sizes for basically the same thing. Now I know...with 2T the pants are longer. I think the sizes are crazy anyway, and we all know they aren't consistent...but regardless they are still done in months! LOL!
She went on to say that she was going to start referring to herself in months to see what people say! So, Lindsey here it is...you are 295 months old!!! LOL! Just had to throw that out for you, so you can give the accurate count when people ask how old you are! Love ya chick!! :)
