So Sleepy...

I hope I make it through the day! My poor body is still on Hawaii time and I am exhausted. After getting approximately 3 hours of sleep last night due to the time difference I am hopeful that tonight will be better!

On a different subject, Alexa is doing wonderfully! As you may know me going to Hawaii marked the end of Alexa nursing...she has only been nursing in the morning and at night since her first birthday. Obviously with me in Hawaii that was out of the question. So, my wonderful mama (Mimi) got up early every morning and got ready before she got Alexa up and then fed her oatmeal and milk for breakfast. She gave Alexa a sippy cup of milk before bed as well. When I got home yesterday Alexa kind of indicated that she would like to nurse, and although I wasn't sure I would have any milk left I let her try. Then when it was time for bed I got to thinking...she has been a whole week without nursing and has done fine...maybe it's time to just end it totally. So, I got her a sippy cup of milk ready and when she had all she wanted I put her to bed.

She slept all night (although I did not) and woke up in the best mood this morning. I had her oatmeal and milk waiting on her and all was well! This routine is definitely going to take some getting used to on my part because it requires being up earlier and being totally ready before waking Alexa. I'm sure it won't be long before it fits in perfectly, but this morning it definitely did not.

I think I will go to bed when Alexa does tonight...I can barely hold my eyes open now, so I know later will be even worse!
