WOW weekend!

I can't even begin to explain what a great weekend we had! We got off to a great start on Friday. I had a date Friday night, and Alexa went with Mimi and Pop to dinner and then to Lowe's. I had great time on my date! Then Saturday we spent the morning at the new house site with Pop. Mimi has some new pictures to post...maybe she will get that done tonight! Alexa had the best time playing at the new house. She got good and dirty! :)

After that Alexa and I attended a barbecue that afternoon with a friend of mine and then Mimi and I had a wedding that night. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and such a sweet ceremony! We really enjoyed going and catching up with some old friends there.
Then yesterday was church in the morning, and then a special surprise yesterday afternoon! Our cousin Pam was down in Aiken this weekend for a wedding, and we went down to pick her up. They were having a polo match so we got to watch part of that. It was really neat! Alexa loved the ponies! Every time they ran by us or came near us she would just cheer! After the match was over we went into the downtown area of Aiken and found the cutest little restaurant to eat dinner. Davor's Cafe was simply delicious! We had a tapas dinner and everything was phenomenal! We had shrimp and grits, risotto, sashimi tuna, pork rolls, crab and artichoke dip, and then creme brulee for dessert. I hope we will get to go there again sometime!

Tonight we had a small cookout at our house. Grandpa and Grace came and brought Pam and Tona (Pam's daughter who flew in today). They brought dinner to us, and Pop grilled steaks and sausages. Everything was great...I ate too much as always! :)
Here are some pictures from our weekend. I hope you all had a great time this weekend and a great Memorial Day today. We had to work, but it was a great day nonetheless! Enjoy the pics, and enjoy your week!

Like Mother like Daughter!

Tonight I was wearing one of the new bracelets I made and Alexa kept talking about it. So, I told her if she was good I would make her one. Well, she was good as usual so while she was taking her bath I whipped together a bracelet for her on elastic. She was so excited! I know she is a little young...but it made her happy, and it's not like it cost much.

These were taken before her bath (obviously!) she wanted a cookie, so instead I gave her a cereal bar...she loved it! :)

YUMMY!! :)

She was pointing at Pop coming home from church...he was making faces at her from the door!

Finally! :)

I am finally getting the bracelet from my giveaway in the mail today, and I wanted to share it with you guys. I think it turned out really cute, and I think the winner will like it too! What do you think? (yes lurkers that includes you!)

Cute stuff

Wow...this is my 3rd post for the day. Actually I started one last night, but the video took so long to load that I didn't get to post it until this morning and then I did the questionnaire Teaque sent me. Anyway...this is just a quick one to show some pictures and other tidbits. Today Pop put down the grout in Alexa's room. YEAH!!!!! I am so excited to get her room set up again...it's been a while since she had a real room with the renovations taking place and we are all excited about it. The new base board should go down by the end of the week and we should move her in on Saturday!! I can't wait. She has such cute crib bedding (courtesy of her Mimi), and I can't wait to get it all set up again!

Tonight after Alexa's bath she decided to play hide and seek with us! :)

Jerry would ask me where Alexa was and you could just hear her giggling...

Then she would pull the towel down and just LAUGH!!

and again!

Do you remember the giveaway at Funky Finds I won back in March?
Well, these are the super cute shirts I won from 4 Little Fish! One is for Walker and one is for Alexa...and they are custom made, so no one will have one just like theirs! Are they not just ADORABLE?!! You should head on over to 4 Little Fish and check out Olga's other cute designs for the one of a kind baby in your life! Right now Olga is offering a $5 credit for each referral order, so mention my name!

Tag, you're IT!

A fun little questionnaire from Teaque.
Ten years ago, I was ... In high school...I would've been ready for summer vacation. This also would've been the summer I caught my house on fire...OOPS!
Three things I'm going to do today ... Well, let's see, I've already been to work and the dentist...and now I'm waiting on Alexa to get home so I can play with her!
If I were a billionaire, I would ... I would definitely give large sums to the church and to charities. I would also get out of debt, and invest some. Then I would do random acts of kindness to people truly in need! Ok...I would also spend some :) Probably on a house, new car (nothing outrageous, but I need one) and things like that.
Five places I have lived ... Landrum, Clemson, Spartanburg...and that's it! Only three for me, at least at this point.
On my resume, you'd find these five jobs ... Bilo cashier, Sales Support Specialist at Victoria's Secret, Data Specialist at SRHS, Bartender at Applebee's, and Reimbursement Specialist at Physicians Billing.

Ok...now tag yourself and fill this out!

Full Weekend

WOW!! What a busy weekend we had...it always seems way too short! We started our weekend early (well kind of) on Thursday night when we met Josh and Brenda at the Air Show. Josh works for Champion, and every other year they host an air show...even though it rained this year we still had a good time. Alexa LOVED the planes!! She also loved the fireworks. She sat on Josh's shoulders for both and just cheered. Then Walker came home with us. He was with Danny and Wendy (Brad's Mom and Stepdad) and Danny also works at Champion...so they met us with Walker at the air show. Jodi and Brad took a long weekend vaca...so we got some extra special quality time with Walker!

He spent the day with Aunt Sibby on Friday, and then we all met there for dinner Friday night. He and Alexa had a great time playing at Sibby's...Alexa was sad that she had to go to daycare instead of staying to play all day.

Saturday we got up and got ready for my friend Julie's shower...she is getting married in August, and it was great to catch up with her. She lives in Columbia now, so we don't see each other very much. I can't wait for her wedding, she is going to make one beautiful bride! After the shower we came home, and enjoyed A&W for a while...Sarah watched them for us while we were at the shower. We played by the ponds, and then inside as well. You can imagine what Alexa's "kitchen" looked like at the end of the day! :) Then Mimi and Pop got ready to go to the meet and greet at the church. They now have a new pastor!! He was unanymously voted in on Sunday after he preached. I am so happy for them...this is a long awaited event, but we all know God's timing is perfect!

Then Sunday we were all off to church...obviously I was at NewSpring and they were at FBCL...but nonetheless, we all enjoyed our services. After church Mimi and Pop went out with the new pastor, so Jerry brought the babies to meet me at Carabbas! One of my FAVE places...it was super yummy as always. We both had tilapia, and the babies shared spaghetti and chicken fingers. Then Danny and Wendy met us to get Walker back...Jodi and Brad came home today.

I got to make a surprise trip to Verizon yesterday b/c my new phone died. I got a new phone a couple of months ago b/c my chocolate started malfunctioning...well my new chocolate died last weekend. I had never sent the old one back so I just got it back out...it wasn't perfect, but it worked. Well, yesterday it went completely blank. So, now I have a black chocolate instead of a pink one...only I still have a pink battery! LOL...how ghetto, I know! :)

Today it was back to work...and we had a good day as always. I don't know if I have said this here, but I LOVE my new job...I have been there a little over a month, and so far it's great!

I also want to give a shout out to Josh and Brenda who have been married for one year today! Happy Anniversary guys...we love you so much and can't wait to spend many more years with you! Congrats on your first year of marriage! :)

Anyway, here are some new pictures from the weekend. I also have a video of A&W playing the piano...and singing their ABCs! Enjoy! :)

Alexa watching and pointing at the planes and fireworks!

Alexa and Walker hugging...how sweet! :)

Two super sweet babies! :) They love playing the piano!

Aren't they just too cute...saying their ABCs!

These two are from tonight...Alexa was using the shovel that came with one of her sand buckets and was using it to shovel "poppy-corn" into her bucket...SO FUNNY!

Ear Update

Well, we went to the doctor yesterday...I guess it was a trip for my peace of mind. Her ears are fine, and the rash basically has to go away on it's own. He didn't think there was anything else wrong with her, or anything causing the rash...so now it's just wait and see. Thank you all for your prayers!

We had a great time at the Air Show last night, although they didn't get to do everything because of the rain. Alexa sat on Josh's shoulders out in the rain and just cheered every time the planes went by. They only flew one set of planes due to the visibility issues, but it was the set Josh designed the spark plugs for!! She was so cute! She even cheered when the fireworks were going on. I am so glad we got to go...and I can't wait for the next one because they will both be bigger and able to enjoy it more. Hopefully next time it won't rain!

Well, it's Friday, which is always one of my favorite days! We have a full weekend ahead...I hope you all have a good one!

Frustration!

Please pray for Alexa!! Today she is going to the doctor for the third time, and I am at my wits end! She went on Tuesday and the doctor said to stop taking the antibiotic because he thought it might be making her rash worse. Well, now she is pulling at her ears again and the rash is NO BETTER! I am really hopeful we will have some resolve today! Please say a prayer for her...I can't stand to see my sweet baby feeling bad!

Wonderful Weekend!!

We had the best weekend...I love being busy with fun stuff! Saturday morning we got up early and met Tia at Morgan's soccer game...Alexa loved it! She tried to join the game a couple of times, but for the most part she was really good at the game. Then we took the girls to McDonald's to get Morgan some breakfast and let them play. They had a blast!!

After we left we headed to Target to exchange some shorts that were too small for Alexa. We picked up a few other things we needed while we were there, and she got to see her daddy. Target is one of his stores, so he is usually there on the weekends. She was really excited to see him. Then we headed to Lowe's to pick up Mimi's Mother's Day present. We decided to have our Mother's Day celebration last night at Jodi's house because they had something planned with Brad's mom today.

We had a great time celebrating as a family...and as always Alexa and Walker were cute as ever!

Mommy, ear hurt :(

The daycare called today, and Alexa was sick. She has broken out in a rash and her tummy was upset. I went to get her and made an appointment with the doctor. While we were in the car she kept saying "ear hurt". I can't believe my baby is old enough to tell me what is wrong (at least part of the time). We are now home, with some antibiotics because she has a double ear infection! :( She doesn't seem to feel too bad, but hopefully the medicine will kick in ASAP! She just woke up from a nap and had her first dose. The doctor said the rash is just the end of the virus that caused her cold, so we will just have to wait on it to go away.

Please say a prayer for Alexa that she will feel better quickly! Thanks!

Weekend Recap

As you read from yesterday we have been having a wonderful weekend. I am trying to rest up as I have been so burnt out on school. Thankfully this semester is OVER, and I can look forward to the summer. I didn't think I was going to take anything, but now I am reconsidering. We will see what happens there. I'm going to send a few emails tomorrow and try to get some interviews set up to get my affairs in order at Upstate. I am definitely ready to finish this degree...not that I'm anywhere near close!

We got up early this morning and had a nice breakfast. Mine was a bit rushed because I got up late...and had to leave to go to Anderson, but it was nice nonetheless. Pop made french toast for us, and Mimi cut up strawberries. Oh how we are enjoying the strawberries! We are on our second bucket from Cooley's and we also had one from Gramling. We go through them rather quickly, as we all LOVE them! :) After breakfast I headed to NewSpring and Mimi and Pop got Walker and Alexa ready for church at Landrum.

After church I ran a few errands since I was passing through Greenville, and then I came home. They were still at church when I got here, so I just relaxed for a while. When they got home Alexa was asleep and Walker was ready for a nap, so we put him down and then Mimi and I went out to the ponds. We sat there for over an hour and just enjoyed the beautiful day. The weather was just great to be outside.

Alexa and I spent the rest of the day just hanging out at home. We played and played...she is a mess! :)

On another note, I finally got a new camera, and so far I think I am going to like it. Mimi is sure I will find my old camera now that I have a new one...but I still think it was stolen. Oh well, if I do then I will take this one back! I have done some experimenting with the camera today, so I will show you some of the pictures I took.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and got to spend some time outside!

Super Saturday!

We had an awesome day today!! Nothing really special happened, but we just had a great day! We got up early this morning and ate breakfast while Pop was working on the house site. After breakfast we walked down to see his progress and Alexa went for a ride on the bobcat with him. She loved it! We walked down our new driveway, and we tried to get her to walk back up the road, but she would not have it. She rode back on the bobcat and then we came back up to the house.

Then we got ready to go to a baby shower for a good friend of mine. Unfortunately she started having complications yesterday and was put in the hospital. Please pray for her...the doctor told her she will probably have to stay inpatient until the baby is born, and they won't take her until 35 weeks. She is only 32 weeks now...so I know she is not looking forward to spending 3 weeks in the hospital. She also has a 3 year old, so I know that is stressful for her too.

After that we came home and ate some lunch, and then Mimi and Pop went to get Walker. He and Alexa are really starting to play together, and it's so cute! I am so excited to watch them grow up together, I just know they are going to be great friends. When they got back Pop went to cut the grass, and we headed to the grocery store. After that we came home to eat supper, and then played some more!

Mimi and I cleaned up a bit, and then we made cookies! Alexa wasn't crazy about her cookie, but Walk Walk ate his right up! They are both such sweet babies, now sleeping peacefully! I'm sure they will have a great day at church together tomorrow.

I can't wait to go to NewSpring tomorrow...it is always so challenging and inspiring, and who doesn't need some of that? I am officially finished with school for this semester and I need to get started thinking about this summer. I am so burnt out on school, but at the same time I am ready to finish this degree!

Here are a couple of pictures of Alexa from tonight...she was helping Mommy vacuum! :) What a sweetie pie!

She is such a big helper! :)

Mostly she just likes to turn it on and off...and then clap for herself!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend...I know we are enjoying this beautiful weather!
